At the end of the academic year in July Scane Dance hold an end of year showcase. Students are given the chance to show off their talents on stage at Daneside Theatre in Congleton.
This is a fantastic opportunity for students to show parents and careers all they have learnt throughout the academic year on stage.
Students learn their show pieces in their weekly classes, alongside a finale piece, where all students perform together to close the show.
Students who participated in the Gotta Dance Show also have the opportunity to perform these pieces again.
Students participating in the end of year show are required to attend 2 mandatory studio rehearsals, alongside a tech and dress rehearsal at Daneside Theatre.
Scane Dance's 2025 theatre production (Glitter Ball) is going to be held on Saturday 19th July and Sunday 20th July at 2pm.
At Scane Dance we participate in Schools' Gotta Dance annual show at The Crewe Lyceum Theatre every March.
The Gotta Dance Events are non-competitive performance showcases ran in professional theatres and provide the opportunity for a variety of ages and abilities to dance on the big stage in front of a large enthusiastic audience.
We perform a minimum of two pieces each year, both 4 1/2 minutes long. Whilst not performing on stage, students also have the opportunity to sit in the audience and watch the rest of the show, which makes the experience even more exciting.
We offer participation in this show to our dancing students and encourage participation, as it is a great opportunity and experience for our students. Show pieces are learnt in class time and are cleaned in two mandatory rehearsals.
