MEET OUR TEACHERS
Miss Grace Principal Teacher & Studio Owner
I began dancing at the age of 2 and have loved dancing ever since!
As a student I studied multiple styles of dance and have taken numerous dance exams with the BBO and IDTA. I have performed in many theatres and have choreographed several dance shows and community displays.
I attended a Performing Arts College where I gained a UAL Diploma in Performing and Production Arts with Distinction. Following this I continued my studies with the British Ballet Organisation where I achieved Distinctions for both my Level 4 and Level 5 Diplomas in Dance Teaching, I am a qualified IDTA dance teacher in Freestyle and Theatre Crafts, as well as being a certified Acrotrix teacher.
I am also fully trained Emergency First Aid and hold NSCPP Safeguarding and Enhanced DBS Certificates.
I have experience teaching all ages and have taught hundreds of students in Cheshire and Staffordshire at multiple Primary Schools and Private Dance Schools. In June 2021 I made the decision to open my own Dance School in Biddulph and since then we have opened our doors to hundreds of students.
Dancing has always been a passion of mine and I wish to encourage this love in our students.
Miss Meg Dance Teacher
I began dancing at the age of 5 alongside Miss Grace and haven't stopped dancing since. Growing up, I learnt multiple styles of dance, consistently took dance exams and performed in many dance shows.
At 16 I went to College to complete a Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Dance, in which I achieved a Distinction*. I then decided to invest my time into my dance technique and gained a place at The Arden School of Theatre in Manchester, where I studied for a dance and performance degree. I spent 3 years dancing everyday, studying many styles of dance, as well as dancing in and around Manchester City Centre. I performed in several professional productions and finished with a first class degree. Once I'd finished my degree I decided I wanted to pursue my teaching career, so continued my studies with Acrotrix to become a certified Acro teacher.
I hold my Level 2 Paediatric First Aid, Child Safeguarding and Autism Awareness Certificates, and am DBS certified.
I now have the pleasure of teaching at Scane Dance and am excited to pass on the knowledge I have gained from my years of dancing to all my students.
